And now he wants her.

Lana cannot deny she is both intrigued and intoxicated by the world Blake inhabits and the smouldering passion he stirs in her body, but she is also fearful for this man is addictive, and right now she is very vulnerable.  She knows she should focus only on the arrangement, but how can she…when he has opened a door that cannot be closed?

THE REVIEW:

I read this book in one day!  I love then that happens, because it means the book is awesome!  Also, I had to know what happened.

Lana Bloom is desperate for money; and she's willing to make a deal with the devil to get it!

Little does she know, she has caught the attention of a very rich man.

Blake Law Barrington.

He is a man who is in complete control and he wants Lana Bloom all for himself.

Soon, an agreement is set between them.  The sum Lana had originally planned is doubled, which means her mother will be able to get the help she so desperately needs.  There are stipulations she needs to be abide by.  For the sake of her mother, Lana agrees to the terms.  The money from Blake will allow her mother to go to America to get the care she needs.

There are some people she is close to who are angry at Lana for what she is planning to do, but she is determined.

During their three month agreement, Blake tries to maintain his distance emotionally.  He has a family who will not accept Lana, and other responsibilities to worry about.  Falling in love with his temporary mistress is not in the cards.  It just isn't done.  You know what they say about the best laid plans.

The ending surprised, saddened and angered me.  All Lana wants is to be happy with Blake.  Little does she know there are people who don't want that to happen.  As I said at the beginning, I read this in one day!  I loved it!  I felt for Lana, because I know what it feels like to have a mother sick with cancer.  I know that helpless feeling of know there is nothing have can be done.

Blake despite his attempts to be cold and aloof finds himself falling for Lana.  He's jaded and cold, but Lana makes him see the light.  He's finally found the one woman who doesn't care about his wealth and prestige.  All she wants is the man, and it scares the hell out of him.
